This is a picture of my husband's truck. We've been married just a little over two years, and I'm still getting used to the fact that he's gone anywhere from three days to two weeks at a time... I'm not really afraid when he's gone (well, ok, sometimes I am!), but when this big rig is in the driveway, I feel very "safe" because it means he's home with me.
:) I'm not surprised at how many people are posting about how love makes them feel safe... it's really heartwarming, though, to hear the individual stories.
and the gasoline or diesel is also safe unspent right? the truck looks elegant and neat the photo is crystal clear thanks for sharing and thanks for blessing the monkey @ india

With diesel prices, we have discussed him just parking this one and driving a company truck. Tough decision for him tho, he loves having the freedom of doing what he wants. Thanks for the compliment!
Oh that is one purty truck. I think one would feel pretty safe riding in it too. Bet it costs a small fortune to fill the fuel tank up on that one though. Thanks for stopping by.
Know what you mean Lady L... the knight is home when his steed is in the paddock. My brother drove a truck for over ten years... his wife became his companion on the road... she could not stand to be alone anymore. Of course they did not have children. Cheers to you and your photo! Thanks for being the first to visit mine and leaving your comment. http://rumbledoll.multiply.com/journal/item/11/So_lonely_I_could_cry..._42408_FF

So sweet...and such a thougthful take on the theme. Nice to have hubby home, isn't it? And to know that that big rig keeps him safe for you when he's on the road??
My kids and I made up this road trip game, when the boys, now in their early 20's, were little, where we counted the trucks on the highway. That rig up there is a "pretty dog"! The flat-faced trucks are "ugly dogs". Needless to say, we preferred, and still dfo, the "pretty dogs"!!
This is wonderful!! My fiance is a trucker in the US, and I'm in England ~ we're currently waiting for immigration to process my visa application to get me over there. Last summer I spent three weeks riding around with him in his rig, and loved every minute! He's got a wireless cell card hooked up to his laptop so he gets net access while on the road, and we chat on Skype every day (safely; he has an earpiece and clips his mike to his cap). It's a great way to keep in touch ~ maybe an idea for you guys to try out?

we talk on the phone about three times a day. He also has wireless on his laptop. I went with him most of last summer. Had a glorious time! We went to so many National Parks! That's where a lot of my pics for this come from... hope you get here soon! Good luck!
wonderful take on this weeks theme! I do have a suggestion - if he is not going to be gone to long - keep one of his dirty shirts to sleep in. The smell of him will help you feel safe.
Wow such a beautiful truck....I must chime in with the thought of being separated for long periods of time being hard on you.....wonderful take on Safe and sooooo sweet a compliment to him.....he must be a good man! Great pic and TY.
I like the way you took the photo from the inside looking out. Safe is reaching out in the night and finding you aren't alone....and even when you are....knowing you aren't.
